“There will be spring in Bihar,
There will be Modi ji’s government with Nitish.”— Jitan Ram Manjhi (@jitanrmanjhi) October 12, 2025
Agreement reached between HAM and BJP
According to sources, talks between HAM and BJP regarding seat sharing in Bihar assembly elections have been successful. After discussion with senior BJP leaders, Jitan Ram Manjhi has reached a compromise. It is being told that an agreement has been reached to give 6 assembly seats to HAM. Apart from this, he will also be given an MLC seat in future. After this agreement, Jitan Ram Manjhi has left for Patna.
JDU’s strategy and selection of candidates
At the same time, Janata Dal (United), the party of Bihar Chief Minister and JDU President Nitish Kumar, has almost completed its preparations for the upcoming assembly elections. According to a senior party leader, the names of candidates for all the seats have been finalized and now the election strategy has been finalized. Sources said that tickets of four sitting MLAs may be cut. On the seats where the performance of the current MLA has been weak, new and stronger candidates will be fielded. A new face will be fielded in Parbatta seat of Khagaria, as the MLA there Sanjeev Kumar has recently joined RJD. A new candidate is also contesting in Rupauli assembly constituency, as former MLA Bima Bharti has joined the opposition party.
Senior JDU leaders said that the assembly seats where changes will be made are mainly in Bhagalpur, Nawada and Banka districts. However, a formal announcement in this regard will be made at the appropriate time after discussions with senior NDA leaders.
The purpose of this move is clear: JDU wants to ensure that underperforming MLAs are replaced by new and influential faces and the party’s chances of victory are strengthened. This strategy is considered very important to strengthen the position of NDA in Bihar elections and to maintain the balance of allies including HAM, JDU.
