The Ministry of Railways has decided to start the construction work of the much awaited Bihta-Anugraha Narayan Road (AN Road) new railway line with immediate effect. A large amount of Rs 3606.42 crore has been sanctioned for this important project. East Central Railway has been instructed to start the work of this project fast and systematically. This new rail line will give a new pace to the development of Magadh and Shahabad regions and will provide better transport facility to millions of people here.

Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav has given his approval to the proposal to start work on this project. This acceptance fulfills a large demand for this region pending for decades. According to sources in the Ministry of Railway Ministry, a detailed description of this project (detailed project report) has been prepared, on the basis of which the total cost has been fixed at Rs 3606.42 crore. This new railway line will be about 117 km long and will establish direct rail connectivity between Bihta and Anugraha Narayan Road. It is important to know here that the 13 km long railway line from Anugraha Narayan Road to Aurangabad has already been approved and its work is also going on. After the completion of this entire project, direct rail connectivity from Patna to Arwal and Aurangabad will be established. This connectivity was a very old demand for this entire region, which is going to be fulfilled now.
Apart from this, the project has also been approved by the ROR (RUR Run) overbridge in Bihta, which will ensure the movement of trains on the proposed new line without any obstruction (uninterrupted).
Alternative route and socio-economic development
The importance of this railway line is not limited to make the journey easier just. It will have many big benefits. Social and economic development: With the introduction of a new railway line in this area, people will increase the access to business, education and health facilities, which will give a new momentum to social and economic development in the region.
Alternative rail route: This new line will provide another new and important alternative route between DDU-Patna-Jhajha Main Line and DDU-Koderma Grand Cord Line. This will reduce the pressure of trains on the main lines and find an additional way to run the trains if needed.
