Chhattisgarh CM address: Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai, while addressing the National Fisherman Awareness Conference held at Balbir Singh Juneja Indoor Stadium in Raipur, described education as the basis of social and personal success. He said that education is not only a medium to get jobs, but is the path of success in life, and this is the basic mantra of social development.
The Chief Minister said, “Life is incomplete without education. Whether it is the art of living, business, agriculture, or any other field, education has an important role in every field of success.”
Extension of education in Chhattisgarh
CM Sai praised the work done in the field of education of the state government. He said that at the time of the formation of the state, there was only one medical college in Chhattisgarh, while today about 15 medical colleges have been established.
He said, “National and international fame institutions like IIT, IIIT, IIM, Law University, AIIMS and CIPET have been established in Chhattisgarh, which is benefiting the local students.” Additionally, he informed that construction work of Nalanda campus is going on in every district of the state, which will provide direction and opportunity to the youth.
Emphasis on social unity and drug addiction
The Chief Minister called social unity necessary for social progress. He said that a strong society creates a strong nation. Describing intoxication as a major obstacle in social progress, he urged the community to take a pledge towards drug addiction and social reform.
Revolutionary steps for fishermen community
CM Sai appreciated the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi for the empowerment of the fisherman community and described the Prime Minister’s Matsya Sampada Yojana as a revolutionary step.
Referring to the initiative of the Government of Chhattisgarh, he said that the contractual practice in Gangrel Dam has been abolished and the right to fishing has been given back to the farmers of the submerged area.
State’s first Aqua Park
The Chief Minister highlighted various schemes launched in the fisheries sector. He informed that the first Aqua Park of the state is being developed in Hasdev Bango reservoir at a cost of about ₹ 37 crore. The park will open new opportunities in fish production, processing, export and tourism – four major areas. He also informed that at present, fish farming is being done in 800 cages in the reservoir, which is benefiting many local panchayats and strengthening the rural economy.
Global history of Nishad community
Addressing the program, Union Minister of State Dr. Rajbhushan Chaudhary Nishad recalled the glorious history and tradition of the Nishad community. He said that the new generation needs to know about this legacy and be proud of it. He praised Prime Minister Modi and said that with the construction of a grand temple of Ramlala in Ayodhya, the construction of the Nishad Raj temple on the banks of the Saryu River was ensured, which has respected the community.
Chief Minister Sai congratulated and congratulated all the officials of the National Fisherman Association and fishermen across the country on the success of the conference.
