Chhattisgarh Weather: Chhattisgarh is in the grip of scorching heat and intense heat these days. In many districts of the state, the temperature has crossed 45 degrees Celsius, due to which life is being affected. Due to continuously rising temperatures, people are forced to stay in their homes and everyone is now eagerly waiting for the monsoon. The effect of Nautapa also continues in the state, which is likely to last till June 2.

While on one hand the heat is at its peak during Nautapa, on the other hand the weather has taken a sudden turn in some areas. In the last few days, areas like Surajpur and Ambikapur have recorded rain with strong winds. Apart from this, thunderstorm conditions were also seen in Raigarh and Sukma, which gave people some relief from the heat.
According to the Meteorological Department, an alert of storm and rain has been issued in many districts of the state for the next two days. During this period the wind speed can reach 60 kilometers per hour. There is a possibility of dust storm in Raipur also, due to which there may be a slight drop in the temperature.

At present, the effect of heat wave continues in most parts of the state. In many districts the temperature is being recorded between 40 to 47 degrees Celsius. Due to strong sunlight and hot winds, it has become difficult to go out during the day. The Meteorological Department has predicted light rain at some places till June 1, but it is not expected to provide much relief in the heat.
When will monsoon reach? (Chhattisgarh Monsoon)
The biggest hope for relief for the people of Chhattisgarh is now monsoon. Monsoon in India usually starts from Kerala, where its normal date is considered to be 1 June. It arrives in Chhattisgarh about 8 to 10 days after the monsoon reaches Kerala. According to the Meteorological Department, the normal date of arrival of monsoon in the state is June 12. If weather conditions remain favourable, monsoon may arrive on time or even a little before. However, there is still a possibility of a delay of 5 to 7 days.
People waiting for relief
The continuously increasing heat and heat waves have increased the problems of the common people. Day time activities are being affected in both rural and urban areas. In such a situation, everyone’s eyes are now on the monsoon, due to which the temperature is expected to drop and the weather will become cool. Weather experts say that until monsoon enters the state, it is difficult to get complete relief from heat and heat wave. Therefore, people have been advised to take precautions and adopt measures to protect themselves from heat.
