CM Dhami Uttarakhand: On the occasion of International Yoga Day (June 21), the Chief Minister practiced yoga with officers and employees at his residence on Thursday. On this occasion, he highlighted the importance of Yoga and described it as the basis of a healthy and balanced life and appealed to everyone to include it in their daily routine.
The Chief Minister said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, India’s ancient yoga tradition has received new recognition and respect at the global level. He said that today Yoga is being accepted all over the world as an effective means of health, mental peace and overall well-being.
Yoga is not just a physical exercise, it is a way of life
In his address, the Chief Minister said that Yoga is not limited to just physical exercise, but it is a powerful medium to promote mental peace, self-discipline and positive lifestyle. Yoga establishes balance in a person’s life and reduces stress and makes him more energetic and healthy.
He also said that amidst the increasing stress and health problems in modern lifestyle, yoga has emerged as a natural solution which every person should adopt.
Appealed for people’s participation on Yoga Day
The Chief Minister appealed to the people of the state to participate in maximum number of yoga programs on the upcoming International Yoga Day. He said that it is the responsibility of all of us to take Yoga to the masses so that health and awareness can be promoted in the society.
He also motivated the officers and employees to do yoga regularly and said that only a healthy workforce can contribute effectively to the development of the state.

The Chief Minister said that this ancient tradition of India has become popular all over the world today. In many countries, yoga is being adopted not only as a health practice but also as an important part of lifestyle.
