Jharkhand: Two people died and more than 35 were injured when a bus carrying wedding guests met with an accident in Jharkhand’s Pakur district on Wednesday. The condition of many of the injured is said to be serious.
This accident happened near Singarsi Malipada village of Amrapada police station area. According to the police, the bus was returning from Sundarpahari area of Godda district with a wedding procession. Meanwhile, the driver lost control of the vehicle, after which the bus overturned on the roadside.
Chaos caused by sudden accident
Eyewitnesses said that the accident happened so suddenly that the people traveling in the bus did not even get a chance to recover. As soon as the bus overturned, there was chaos and screaming among the passengers. Many people were trapped inside the bus. In the accident, Aalen Murmu and Rajesh Tudu, residents of Pariyardaha village under Maheshpur police station area of Pakur district, died on the spot.
Two people died tragically on the spot
As soon as information about the incident was received, a wave of mourning ran among the families of the deceased. As soon as the news of the accident was received, nearby villagers reached the spot in large numbers. Local people along with the police conducted relief and rescue operations and rescued the passengers trapped in the bus. After this, the injured were taken to various hospitals in Amrapada and nearby areas with the help of ambulances and other vehicles.
The injured were admitted to the hospital
According to doctors, many of the injured have suffered serious injuries. Some are being prepared to be referred to higher medical centers for better treatment. Police have sent both the bodies for post-mortem and started investigating the cause of the accident. Preliminary investigation has revealed that the bus went out of control and overturned, however, the police is investigating all aspects.
