Sanjeevani Clinic: In view of the concerns raised after the incident of 12 fake doctors being found in Sanjeevani clinics spread in nine districts of Madhya Pradesh, the state health and medical department has launched an intensive campaign to check the degrees of doctors working at government health centers.
The Health Department team has traced the master mind of this racket during the investigation of fake MBBS degrees in Sanjeevani clinics running under the National Health Mission in Damoh. According to media reports, degrees of newly recruited medical professionals will be compulsorily verified.
Meanwhile, the government has started the process of forming a committee comprising representatives of Madhya Pradesh Medical Council, Health and Higher Education Department. This committee will examine the medical degrees and professional certificates submitted by the health care workers. At present the Chief Medical and Health Officer is checking the educational certificates of the contract doctors recruited on contract in the respective districts. Recent revelations have revealed irregularities in the system which have made it clear that these contracted doctors were having fun for more than a year without being marked.
According to a report in Dainik Jagran, the verification process was delayed due to the respective universities not taking any strict action on time. The Health Department has asked CAMHO to respond within the deadline. Apart from this, the degrees of doctors posted in Sanjeevani clinics outside the state will also be examined. This investigation will be done in different phases. Officials are sure that the names of many fraud doctors will come to light during the investigation. Who are sitting crouching. The National Health Mission has said that after three fake doctors were exposed in Damoh, 81 doctors have been investigated so far. The department is ensuring that only doctors with valid qualifications are able to practice in the state.
