Maharashtra Accident: A tragic accident took place in Nandurbar district of Maharashtra today, Saturday morning. A horrific road accident took place here at Chandsaili Ghat, in which a pickup vehicle filled with devotees returning from the holy Astamba Yatra went out of control and overturned. After which within a short time the atmosphere of devotion turned into mourning.
Six devotees died on the spot
According to the report, the devotees traveling in the pickup were returning to their homes after completing the Astamba Yatra. The path was narrow and steep. As soon as they reached the turn of the ghat, the driver lost control of the vehicle and the vehicle overturned and fell down. After this, there was an outcry on the spot and the people present nearby immediately ran for help. But by then six people had died on the spot. Many passengers were seriously injured and were taken to hospital with the help of local people and police.
The condition of the injured is serious, there is fear of increasing the number of dead.
Police immediately started relief and rescue operations. The injured have been admitted to the nearby Taloda sub-district hospital. According to doctors, the condition of many injured remains critical. The death toll is expected to increase. As soon as information about the accident was received, people from nearby villages also reached the hospital and started getting information about their families. There is an atmosphere of screaming and mourning outside the hospital.
