Muzaffarpur Hospital Fire: Amid the fire in Muzaffarpur, Bihar, State Health Minister Nishant Kumar left for Delhi from Patna on Thursday morning. However, he did not give any reply on the fire incident in Muzaffarpur hospital.
Health Minister Nishant Kumar reached Patna airport on Thursday morning with JDU working president Sanjay Jha. When journalists asked the Health Minister questions about the Muzaffarpur incident, he did not give any answer. Sanjay Jha also left without answering the media’s questions.
After this, opposition parties have raised questions on the silence of Health Minister Nishant Kumar. Congress MP Akhilesh Prasad Singh said, “The Health Minister is not ready to say anything on this.” He said that the government should pay attention to the fact that fires are taking place at some places and thefts are taking place at other places.
Let us tell you that the death toll in the massive fire that broke out at Prasad Hospital in Muzaffarpur early Thursday morning has increased to four. These include Krishnanandan Prasad Singh (76), resident of Gaurigama village of Meenapur police station area, Geeta Devi (62), resident of Distolia village of Kathaiya police station area, Shashank Kumar (30), originally resident of Ratanpur village of Aurai police station area and currently residing at Newlal Chowk of Ahiyapur, and Uday Kumar (57), resident of Vishambharpur village of Tariyani Chhapra police station area of Shivhar district.
This incident took place at around 3 am in the morning at Prasad Hospital under Brahmpura police station area of Muzaffarpur. According to a fire official, the fire broke out in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of the hospital, causing thick smoke that quickly spread throughout the hospital and panic among the patients, their attendants and the hospital staff.
The fire created a stampede-like situation as emergency rescue teams and local residents worked together to rescue patients trapped inside the building.
Bihar Chief Minister Samrat Chaudhary has expressed grief over this incident. Along with this, the Chief Minister announced an ex-gratia amount of Rs 4 lakh to the families of the deceased.
