Tej Pratap Visit Raghopur: In Bihar politics, the struggle within the ‘Lalu family’ has once again come out openly. Tej Pratap Yadav, the elder son of Lalu Yadav, who is running away from the party and family, suddenly reached Raghopur, the assembly seat of his younger brother Tejashwi Yadav. There he met the flood victims and targeted the Nitish government fiercely. But, the biggest political message was that he taunted Tejashwi without naming and said that “the MLAs here are not providing help to the people.” This move of Tej Pratap has created a stir in the political corridors that will he challenge him in his brother’s stronghold?
Excuse of flood, political target
Tej Pratap Yadav wrote on X (Earlier Twitter) that there is a bad condition in Raghopur assembly constituency, but neither the government nor the MP-MLA people are helping people. He himself went to the spot and met the flood affected families and provided them relief material and medical assistance. In his post, he described the Nitish Sarkar as “the useless and the government in the coma” said that it would have to be uprooted.
Brother’s ‘entry’ in Tejashwi’s stronghold
Tej Pratap Yadav is not being considered just a humanitarian help to handle the front in his brother Tejashwi’s assembly constituency. This is a direct political message. Tej Pratap has taunted Tejashwi many times before. He has also formed his separate ‘Team Pratap’ and has recently aligned with 5 political parties. He himself has announced to contest from Mahua seat of Vaishali. In such a situation, his presence in Raghopur gives a clear indication that he is trying to weaken Tejashwi’s political ground.
Will the family struggle be seen in the election?
Let us tell you, Tej Pratap won from Hasanpur seat of Samastipur by more than 21 thousand votes in the 2020 assembly elections, while Tejashwi won from Raghopur. Now that Tej Pratap has announced to contest from Mahua, his going to Raghopur shows that he wants to increase his political penetration not only on his seat, but in the entire region. It will be interesting to see if this struggle of the Lalu family will come out openly in the upcoming elections and how will Tejashwi face this challenge of his elder brother.
