Twisha Sharma Death Case: The case of Twisha Sharma’s death under mysterious circumstances in Bhopal is in the news. The suspicious death of Twisha Sharma has shocked not only Madhya Pradesh but the entire country. The family of the deceased has now appealed to the President to get justice for their daughter and for a fair investigation in the case. The family says that if Twisha had committed suicide, then how did many injury marks appear on her body. Twisha Sharma’s family is continuously raising questions on the investigating agencies and police action regarding these questions.
According to the family, Twisha Sharma was facing mental and physical torture ever since her marriage. The family members alleged that her in-laws constantly harassed her for dowry. Family members claim that Twisha had informed her close people several times about the torture. The post mortem report revealed in the case and the injury marks found on the body have further deepened the suspicion. The family believes that it may not be a suicide but a case of planned murder.

According to the information, Twisha Sharma, a resident of Noida, had died under suspicious circumstances. On May 12, Twisha Sharma’s body was found hanging in her in-laws’ house in Katara Hills area of Bhopal. There was a stir after getting information about the incident. Police registered the case and started investigation. The deceased’s parents had termed the case as dowry murder from the very beginning.
The parents have made serious allegations against Twisha’s husband Samarth Singh and her in-laws in the case. Regarding the matter, Jabalpur lawyer Vivek Tiwari has also written a letter to the Chief Justice of India and the Chief Justice of Madhya Pradesh High Court, demanding an impartial investigation. He told that Twisha’s father Nav Nidhi Sharma had contacted him through e-mail and appealed to get justice for his daughter. After this, demand for intervention was raised at the constitutional level.
The family has alleged in their appeal that Twisha’s mother-in-law Giribala Singh is a retired additional district judge. Presently working as the President of Bhopal District Consumer Forum. The family suspects that the investigation could be influenced due to Giribala Singh’s influence. The letter also raised the possibility of influencing witnesses, tampering with evidence and destroying important electronic and forensic evidence. The family members have demanded that the case be investigated by an independent agency and all digital and forensic evidence be kept safe.
Bhopal court has rejected the anticipatory bail plea of absconding husband Samarth Singh. Police is conducting raids to arrest Samarth Singh and a reward of Rs 10,000 has also been announced for anyone providing information. At the same time, mother-in-law Giribala Singh has rejected all the allegations and said that Twisha was suffering from mental stress and drug addiction. However, the parents have termed these claims as completely baseless.
