Uttarakhand News: Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami flagged off a group of 32 devotees and sent them to Gangotri Dham under the Mother-Father Pilgrimage Scheme of the State Government.
In the program organized at Haldwani Circuit House on Tuesday, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami wished all the devotees a safe, pleasant and auspicious journey. On this occasion, the Chief Minister said that the objective of the Mother-Father Pilgrimage Scheme run by the State Government for senior citizens is to provide them an opportunity to visit religious places and to infuse spiritual peace and joy in their lives.
This group included 19 female and 13 male passengers.
This group of devotees, who set out on a five-day journey, includes 19 female and 13 male pilgrims. The devotees included in this group will visit various holy religious places on the way including Gangotri Dham. Arrangements for accommodation, food etc. of these travelers have been made in the tourist accommodation centers of Garhwal Mandal Development Rules.
On this occasion, MLAs Banshidhar Bhagat (Kaladhungi) and Ram Singh Kaida (Bhimtal), BJP District President Pratap Bisht, various officials in the state government, Kumaon Division Commissioner Deepak Rawat, IG Smt. Riddhim Aggarwal and many public representatives and officers were present.
