
Aligarh News: Mahakumbh of cricket was seen in village Nandpur Pala of Lodha police station area. 20 teams of the district showed their strength in the tournament organized here. A crowd of spectators gathered in the entire village to watch the match and applause kept echoing on every four and six.
The final match was full of thrill. The team led by Captain Javid performed brilliantly and won the title. The winning team was honored by the committee with a cash prize of Rs 7,100 and a grand trophy. There was no limit to the joy of the players as soon as they got the trophy in hand.
Players’ morale is high
On this occasion, village head Riot Majid Ali also encouraged the players. On his part, he presented Rs 2,000 to the players of the winning team. Pradhan said that sports increases discipline and brotherhood. Children should progress in sports along with studies. He wished a bright future for all the players and appreciated the organization of the committee.
The winning team included Captain Javid along with Ahil Khan, Villa Khan, Savir Khan, Ajay Thakur, Amit Kumar Rathore, Raider Khan, Sharukh Khan, Kadeer Khan and Savir Khan. All the players played brilliantly on the field and kept their hold strong in the final.
The tournament committee said that the objective of the entire tournament was to keep the youth of the village away from drugs and get them involved in sports. At the end, all the participating teams were honored with medals. The organizers said that next time the tournament will be organized on a larger scale.
