
Bcci New President 2025: A new executive has been formed in the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI). In the annual general meeting (AGM) held in Mumbai on Friday, September 28, the Election Officer announced the names of the new officials. With this meeting, the operation of Indian cricket has now gone into new hands, this time former domestic cricketer Mithun Manhas has been selected as the President of BCCI. The responsibility of the vice president has been entrusted to Rajiv Shukla. At the same time, Devjit has become the new secretary of Saikia Board. Apart from this, Prabhtej Singh Bhatia was Joint Secretary and A.K. Raghuram Bhat has got the responsibility of treasurer. Now this entire team will take important decisions related to Indian cricket in the coming tenure and will work on policies from domestic to international level.
New faces on other positions
Not only the top posts, but also new people have been elected on other important positions. Jaidev Niranjan Shah has been made a member of the Apex Council. At the same time, Arun Singh Dhumal and M. Khairul Jamal Majroomdar have got a place in the Governing Council. This entire team will focus on the operation of Indian cricket, plans of tournaments and development of players.
Who is Mithun Manhas?
The name of 45 -year -old Mithun Manhas is counted among the legendary players of domestic cricket in Indian cricket. Even though he did not play internationally for Team India, his record in Ranji and other domestic competitions has been very good. He has scored around 9714 runs in 157 first class matches, including 27 centuries.
He also scored 4126 runs in List-A cricket.
For a long time, he was the captain of the Delhi Ranji team and on several occasions, the team won the difficult situation. Manhas has also played in the Indian Premier League (IPL). He has been part of the teams of Delhi Daredevils, Kings XI Punjab and Pune Warriors. He has shared the dressing room with legendary players like Virender Sehwag and Yuvraj Singh. After a cricket career, he has contributed to both players and administrators in Jammu and Kashmir cricket.
New responsibilities
Now after becoming the BCCI president, there is a big responsibility on Manhas. They are expected to take Indian cricket to new heights. Especially we will insist on strengthening the domestic cricket structure and providing better facilities to the players.
