Shashank Singh FIR: Serious allegations have been made against IPL cricketer Shashank Singh and his retired IPS father Shailesh Singh. Bhopal Police has registered a criminal case against both of them for assaulting, abusing and illegally keeping the cook working in their house hostage. The driver of the family has also been made a co-accused in this case.
This entire matter pertains to a residence located in Mendori village of Ratibad police station area of Bhopal. 31-year-old Vipendra Singh Tomar, originally from Rewa, has given a written complaint to the police and informed about the incident that happened to him.
Allegation of calling with promise of government job
According to the victim Vipendra Singh Tomar, he was recently brought to work in this house through an acquaintance. According to the complaint, he was given a salary of Rs 15,000 per month, accommodation and food facilities along with assurance of getting a government job in future.
Vipendra alleges that within a few hours of starting work, he started being put under mental pressure regarding the quality of home-cooked food. He has said in the complaint that during this period he was also abused and continuously harassed.
Controversy increased after talking about leaving the job
According to the victim cook, seeing the atmosphere at home, he had expressed his desire to leave the job and return back to Rewa. But when asked to do so, the accused became angry.
The complaint alleges that his mobile phone was forcibly taken away so that he could not contact anyone. Besides, pressure was also put on them to continue working.
Saved my life by locking myself in the room
Vipendra Singh Tomar has alleged that to save himself, he tried to save his life by locking himself in a room. But despite this, Shashank Singh, his father Shailesh Singh and the driver of the family opened the door and beat him brutally.
In the medical examination conducted by the police, injury marks were found on the face and body of the victim. The matter has been taken seriously after the medical report confirmed the injuries.
FIR registered under BNS sections
Ratibad Police has registered an FIR on the basis of the victim’s complaint and medical report. The case has been registered under the Indian Justice Code (BNS).
Sections related to obscene acts and abusing in public under Section 296(B) (BNS Section 296B), voluntarily causing hurt or assault under Section 115(2) (BNS Section 115(2)) and acts done by several persons with common intention under Section 3(5) (BNS Section 3(5)) have been included in the FIR. At present the police is investigating the matter and further action is being taken based on the allegations made in the complaint.
