Ind vs pak: The broadcast of the Asia Cup match being played between India and Pakistan is being opposed at the My Square Bar in Connaught Place, Delhi. The protesters say that some people are showing this match only to earn profits, while the country is facing the challenges of martyrs on terrorism and border. During the protest, people took to the road with placards and tricolor and raised slogans like “Inquilab Zindabad”. The protesters also questioned the government and business interests. Photos and videos of this performance are becoming increasingly viral on social media. People are expressing their displeasure over the policies and commercial decisions of the government through posts and comments.

Saurabh Bhardwaj’s statement

AAP leader and former Urban Development Minister Saurabh Bhardwaj shared a video X (Twitter) related to the incident, which is becoming increasingly viral. While sharing the video, he wrote that today there is opposition to showing India-Pakistan match at My Square Bar, Connaught Place, Delhi. He says that some people are trying to earn money by showing matches, while innocent people who lost their lives in the Pahalgam attack and the soldiers who were martyred on the border are not worried, neither the government nor the traders. He also raised the slogan “Inquilab Zindabad” at the end of the post.

Protest on match broadcast

The protesters say that when the country is facing terrorism and the challenges of the martyrs on the border, it is not right to make a profit by broadcasting the India-Pakistan match. They allege that the step is immoral. He demanded from the government that such events should be banned and the families of the martyrs should be given full respect and justice. Prior to the match, Congress leader Abhishek Dutt also landed in protest with his supporters. He demonstrated against the India-Pakistan match with candles in his hands. During this time people raised loud slogans against Pakistan and BCCI.

Administration increased security

After the protest, the administration deployed additional police force in the area to keep the situation under control. It is a matter of relief that no untoward incident came from anywhere. However, this entire case has once again waged a new debate in politics and society.
