New Delhi, 19 September (IANS). According to industry sources, the prebooking iPhone 16 series of Apple’s iPhone 17 series in India has also crossed the level. The new series stake in total sales is estimated to be 15 to 16 percent.
According to analysts, the iPhone 17 Pro model indicates a strong Diwali quarter in India for the prebooking Apple of the new iPhone series despite low supply.
Statistics indicate that the total iPhone shipment in India is expected to cross the 5 million units during the July-September period in 2025. Apple shipped around 40 million iPhone in the third quarter of 2024, which contributed 10 percent of the new model to the total sales.
Analysts said the demand for iPhone 17 Pro and iPhone 17 Pro Max is particularly high, causing a possibility of decrease in supply in the initial weeks of the launch.
The pre-order of the upgraded 256 GB storage base model has a huge bounce, with ‘Cosmic Orange’ is the most liked color.
He said that the base variant has been upgraded to 256 GB, making it a better value-for-money than last year’s launch.

The 256 GB variant of iPhone Air has been priced at Rs 1,19,900, 512 GB variant is priced at Rs 1,39,900 and 1 TB variant has been priced at Rs 1,59,900.
Similarly, 256 GB variants of iPhone 17 Pro have been priced at Rs 1,34,900, 512 GB variant priced at Rs 1,54,900 and 1 TB variant has been priced at Rs 1,74,900.
The 256 GB variant of iPhone 17 Pro Max has been priced at Rs 1,49,900, 512 GB variant priced at Rs 1,69,900, 1 TB variant is priced at Rs 1,89,900 and 2 TB variant has been priced at Rs 2,29,900.
Retailers indicate that the base models will be widely available, while the availability of Pro and Prof. Max is quite limited, which is only about 10 percent of normal delivery. Due to this deficiency, the premium is increasing by 10-20 percent in the black market.
Analysts reported that the iPhone 16 was India’s best -selling model in the first half of 2025, which recorded a growth of 96.50 percent in the premium smartphone segment.
Apart from this, Apple has now opened a total of four retail stores in India.
Apple has recently opened two new stores in Bengaluru and Pune under its retail expansion in India.
India is also becoming the center of Apple’s manufacturing plan, where one out of every five iPhone is now being produced in the country.
