BSNL is preparing to start 5G service in metros of the country. According to reports, the government telecom company can start 5G services in major cities by the end of the year. The 5G service of Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited will be completely based on indigenous technology. The company has recently completed the establishment of 1,00,000 4G/5G towers in all the telecom circles of the country. Now, she is preparing to set up a tower of 1,00,000.

25 years complete
To commemorate the completion of 25 years of BSNL, the company is officially starting 4G services across the country. 4G services based on indigenous technology were recently launched in Delhi and National Capital Region (NCR). According to a report by telecomtock, a senior official of the government telecom company has said that 5G services will be started at the end of this year. BSNL can start 5G services in the country’s two major metros, Delhi and Mumbai, where MTNL has services. The government has authorized BSNL to provide mobile services in both these cities.

The company has confirmed that it will start 4G services across the country from tomorrow, September 27, 2025. The 4G network of BSNL completely uses indigenous technology. From network gear to signal technology, equipment from Indian companies has been installed. Within a few weeks of starting 4G services, the company will move towards starting 5G services. Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited has also conducted 5G tests in several cities including Delhi.

Better connectivity will be provided
BSNL users often face network complaints, due to which they turn to private telecom companies such as Airtel, Jio or Vodafone-Idea. Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited has focused on improving its network in the last few months. In last year’s budget, BSNL was allocated more than Rs 80,000 crore for network reforms. After the launch of 4G and 5G services, the government telecom company will also provide better connectivity like private operators.
