New Delhi, April 12 (IANS). ‘World Homeopathy Day 2026’ served as a comprehensive platform to deliberate on clinical advances, policy frameworks, research priorities and the future roadmap of homeopathy.
The two-day event held here reaffirmed the growing importance of homeopathy in advancing sustainable and integrated healthcare.
The Ministry of AYUSH said that in this program, senior officials of the Ministry of AYUSH, experts, researchers and representatives of leading homeopathic institutions came together.
Alarmelmangai D, Joint Secretary, Ministry of AYUSH reiterated the government’s commitment to promote and integrate homeopathy into the comprehensive healthcare framework and emphasized its growing role in advancing accessible, sustainable and patient-centric healthcare systems.
In this function, those who made outstanding contributions in the field of homeopathy were also honored.
The event saw a group of approximately 90 students, including STSH and MD award winners, celebrate the next generation of physicians through a photo session.
Organized under the theme “Homeopathy for Sustainable Health” and the vision of “Infinite Possibilities”, this conference serves as a comprehensive platform to explore the convergence of traditional principles with modern scientific innovation.
The National Institute of Homeopathy (NIH) demonstrated its clinical leadership through evidence-based case presentations on complex conditions including brain tumors, autoimmune disorders, and endometriotic cysts.
The expert-led sessions explored pediatric homeopathy, the therapeutic potential of new medicines like Cassia Fistula and the growing field of agro-homeopathy in agricultural applications.
A multidisciplinary session brought together pulmonologists, oncologists and neurologists and discussed the role of homeopathy along with conventional medicine, with an emphasis on collaborative patient care.
The role of homeopathy within the traditional medicine strategy of the World Health Organization (WHO) is analyzed, highlighting global opportunities and challenges. The discussion also focused on modernizing medical practices through scientific innovation and addressing problems such as drug resistance.
The scope of homeopathy extended to veterinary science, offering evidence-based approaches to animal health care.
A high-level session led by the Ministry of AYUSH and the Central Council for Research in Homeopathy (CCRH) outlined the strategic priorities and future direction of research in the field.
