Google may soon bring a feature which its users have been demanding for a long time. A support page related to changing Gmail address has surfaced, which suggests that this new feature may be launched soon. This support page was first shared in a Telegram group named Google Pixel Hub.
Interestingly, this support page first appeared in Hindi. This shows that this page may have gone live ahead of time. Although this feature is not yet active for users, but the information given on the page clearly shows that Google is very close to launching this function.
How to change your Gmail address
According to reports, when the feature goes live, users will be able to change their Gmail address by going to the “My Account” settings of their Google account. Till now, there was no direct option to change Gmail username, and people had to create a new account.
This update may be especially helpful for users who created their Gmail accounts several years ago. At the time, most people didn’t realize how important their email address would become. Today, the same Gmail ID is linked to banking, jobs, government services and social media accounts.
