New Delhi, May 23 (IANS). India’s MSMEs are now making a strong mark for themselves on global standards of quality and taste. The proof of this is that the first export consignment of flavored iced tea premix has been sent from Bhopal to Switzerland. Union Commerce and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal gave this information on Saturday.

He further wrote in the post, “This new achievement achieved by the food processing sector of Madhya Pradesh with the cooperation of Agricultural and Processed Food Products Export Development Authority will give a new direction to innovation, value addition and export-led development.”
Earlier, the minister had said that India’s tea exports have seen a tremendous growth of 93 percent in the last decade, from Rs 4,509 crore in FY 2013-14 to Rs 8,719 crore in FY 2025-26.
On the occasion of International Tea Day, following the growing global appeal of Indian tea, Piyush Goyal described tea as an emotion and said that it is deeply woven into the everyday life, culture and traditions of the country.

He further wrote, “Over the years, Indian tea has also established a strong presence in the markets around the world. This is due to the ever-improving standards of tea quality and the continuous efforts of the Tea Board to showcase the richness of India’s tea heritage to the world.
