New Delhi, January 16 (IANS). According to the government, India has now entered a new era of abundant availability of energy. Now there is talk not about shortage of electricity in the country, but about handling the excess electricity properly, making a strong system and providing good service to everyone.
In this direction, ‘India Electricity Summit 2026’ is being organized. This will be a major international conference and exhibition related to power and energy sector, which will be held in the national capital from 19 to 22 March.
According to Energy Minister Manohar Lal, this conference will not be limited to just showcasing the achievements so far, but it will also pave the way for what can be done together in the future.
He said that in this conference, technology making companies, infrastructure developing organizations, people bringing new ideas and decision making officials will come on one platform.
The Minister said that this conference will be a platform where India’s local capabilities and the world’s global thinking will come together to create a sustainable and strong power future.
The theme of this four-day long conference is – ‘Electrifying growth, strengthening a sustainable future and connecting with the world’.
In this conference, India’s progress towards clean energy will be presented to the world and the challenges and opportunities present in the power sector will also be discussed.
According to the Ministry of Power, this conference will be attended by people from government, industry, academia and society from India and other countries, where the future of electricity and sustainable energy will be discussed and cooperation between the countries will be strengthened.
The event will feature more than 50 high-level meetings, panel discussions by experts, pavilions on different topics and exhibitions of new technologies covering every area of power and clean energy.
The ministry said that the event will include more than 500 exhibitors, more than 25,000 visitors, more than 1,000 delegates and 300 speakers from India and across the world.
A highlight of the conference will be the ‘Buyer-Seller Meet’, which will forge new partnerships and create new business opportunities in the global power sector.
According to the government statement, this conference will help in increasing cooperation between countries, attracting investments and faster adoption of clean electricity.
