New Delhi, May 16 (IANS). The Indian National Space Promotion and Authorization Center (IN-SPACE) on Saturday said that it led a delegation of Indian space-tech companies to participate in the ‘Space Meetings Veneto 2026’ held in Venice, Italy, which is considered a major step towards strengthening international partnerships and increasing the global presence of India’s private space sector.
The event, attended by industry leaders, startups, policy makers and technology companies, saw the Indian delegation hold strategic dialogue with the Italian Space Industry Study Group to further strengthen business and technological collaboration between the two countries.
Karnataka-based Astrobase Space Technologies signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Impulso Space with an aim to expand customer reach and explore launch opportunities through integrated mission management and launch service network.
Kepler Aerospace, another Indian company, entered into a framework agreement with Apogee Space. Under this, ‘Ground Station as a Service’ (GSaaS) infrastructure will be expanded and satellite cooperation between India and Europe will be strengthened.
This partnership will explore joint opportunities in areas such as CubeSat systems, payload technology, satellite infrastructure and mission operations.
A total of nine space-tech companies joined the Indian delegation, which announced several collaborative initiatives.
Another company, VyomIC, showcased several of its technologies during the event and announced a strategic partnership to develop next-generation navigation and robust infrastructure technologies, the statement said.

He said that through this program many important strategic partnerships have been formed between Indian and international space companies.
He said, “The agreements signed by Astrobase Space Technologies, Kepler Aerospace and VyomIC showcase the growing competitiveness and global readiness of Indian space companies. India is strengthening its position in the global space economy and IN-Space is committed to promoting industry-based international cooperation.”
The visit follows the visit of an Italian aerospace delegation to India in 2025 and is considered part of broader efforts to deepen commercial space cooperation between India and Italy.
This initiative is also in line with the India-Italy Joint Strategic Action Plan 2025-2029 announced during the G20 Summit 2024.
