New Delhi, March 4 (IANS). Union Communications Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia has said that India is not only building networks for its 1.4 billion citizens, but is also creating a reliable digital bridge for the entire world. He said this while inaugurating the India Pavilion during the Mobile World Congress 2026 held in Barcelona, Spain. The event is one of the world’s leading technology and telecommunications forums.
He said that inspired by the philosophy of ‘Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam’, India believes that the objective of connectivity should be to empower humanity, strengthen partnerships and promote shared prosperity. Speaking to the media, the Minister said that as the world discusses the future of connectivity in the ‘IQ era’, India stands at the confluence of intelligence and infrastructure, where connectivity meets capability and innovation meets inclusion.
He stressed that under the visionary leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, India’s telecom transformation has been based on indigenous R&D, reliable telecom ecosystem, Production-Linked Incentive (PLI) and deep integration into global value chains.
This year, the India Pavilion featured more than 40 Indian companies from the telecom sector, working in areas such as 4G, 5G and emerging 6G technologies, Open RAN, optical and satellite communications, semiconductor design, AI based network intelligence, cyber security, telecom software and digital platforms. The growing participation clearly reflects the growing global confidence in India’s telecom capabilities and innovation ecosystem.
The Minister visited the stalls of various companies and interacted with representatives of companies including Ananth Systems, XS Infosol Pvt Ltd, Signalchip, RV Solutions, Neosoft Technologies, Celcom, C-DOT and GX India, among others. He appreciated the indigenous technologies and innovations of these companies, which are contributing to making India a self-reliant and globally competitive telecom ecosystem.
According to the government, the strong presence of Indian innovators at the India Pavilion reflects India’s commitment to building secure networks, developing AI-based telecom infrastructure, fostering a trusted ecosystem and increasing telecom exports globally.
