New Delhi, November 12 (IANS). Union Commerce and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal on Wednesday gave information about his meeting with Saudi Arabia’s Investment Minister Khalid Al-Falih and his delegation.
“Delighted to meet Saudi Arabia’s Investment Minister Khalid Al-Falih and his delegation,” Union Minister Goyal wrote on social media platform X.
Regarding the relations between the two countries, Union Minister Goyal said that our partnership is continuously becoming stronger as it is based on mutual trust and shared prosperity.
“We discussed ways to make India-Saudi Arabia economic ties stronger than ever before, promoting trade and investment in technology, energy, infrastructure and startups, among other sectors,” he wrote on Twitter.
Talking about bilateral agreements between India and Saudi Arabia, recently, Union Culture and Tourism Minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat and Saudi Arabia’s Culture Minister Prince Badr bin Abdullah bin Farhan Al Saud signed a bilateral MoU on cultural cooperation in Riyadh on 9 November 2025.
According to the information given by the Ministry of Culture, the objective of this MoU is to promote cooperation in various cultural fields including art, heritage, music and literature, thereby strengthening the cultural ties between the two countries.
The partnership is based on promoting cultural exchange, sharing regulatory and policy experiences and facilitating participation in festivals and events.
The Agreement also encourages communication between cultural institutions and promotes the exchange of knowledge and practices related to the conservation of cultural heritage.
According to the Centre, Saudi Arabia is India’s fourth largest trading partner and India is Saudi Arabia’s second largest trading partner. Bilateral trade between the two countries has reached US $ 41.88 billion in the year 2024-25. The contribution of chemicals and petrochemicals in this is US$ 4.5 billion.
