New Delhi, March 29 (IANS). Airline IndiGo on Sunday announced that it is launching more than 30 new routes from Navi Mumbai International Airport between March 29 and April 23.
This airline will connect the airport to Agra, Ayodhya, Bagdogra, Belgaum, Chandigarh, Diu, Kannur, Kolkata, Patna, Rajkot, Srinagar, Varanasi, Visakhapatnam and many other cities.
With this, IndiGo will operate more than 400 flights per week from Navi Mumbai, providing convenient travel options to customers and improving regional connectivity to different parts of the country.
The airport is developed and operated by Adani Airports Holdings Limited (AAHL), a subsidiary of Adani Enterprises Limited. It is one of the largest greenfield airport projects in India and has been completed in record time.
From Sunday, the airline has also started two direct flights daily between Bhavnagar and Navi Mumbai, further strengthening connectivity in Gujarat. Flights on this route are operated by IndiGo’s ATR aircraft, providing customers with convenient and reliable travel options between the two cities. Earlier this month, Indigo also started direct flights to Jamnagar from 23 April.
IndiGo will operate flights to Ahmedabad, Vadodara, Surat, Rajkot, Bhavnagar and Jamnagar in Gujarat. This brings the number of flights to and from the leading industrialized state to more than 1,400 per week.
Earlier this month, IndiGo and Adani Airport Holdings Limited (AAHL), the country’s largest private airport operator, announced a strategic partnership that will allow IndiGo Bluechip members to earn benefits on duty-free shopping at airports managed by AAHL.
Under this partnership, members can earn five Indigo Blue Chips for every Rs 100 spent on duty-free products pre-booked through the Adani platform.
“Passengers can browse, reserve and pay for products online before departure and conveniently collect their purchases at the airport,” it said in a statement.
Suchit Bansal, chief executive officer (CEO), non-aero division of AAHL, said the airport operator is transforming the way passengers shop at airports by integrating digital search, pre-order convenience and seamless collection through the Adani platform.
