New Delhi, June 9 (IANS). Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) Chairman N Chandrasekaran on Tuesday said that if any employee is found guilty in the sexual harassment case at the company’s Nashik unit, the company will take strict action against him.

Speaking at the 31st Annual General Meeting of TCS, Chandrasekaran said, “The matter is still in the court, so I don’t want to say much on it, but the initial report we have received shows that the company has not received any formal complaint through any channel or email.”

He further said, “We want to ensure that everyone present at the Nashik office can talk to those investigating. If we find any lapses in the process, the process will be further strengthened. If any employee is found at fault, strict action will be taken. We will wait for the formal investigation to be completed and are working closely with the authorities.”

Last month, the Special Investigation Team (SIT) of Nashik Police has filed a charge sheet in this case.

At the same time, TCS had hired Deloitte and Trilegal as independent advisors for the internal investigation of the matter. This investigation is being conducted under the supervision of TCS President and Chief Operating Officer Aarti Subramanian.

The company has also formed a monitoring committee, headed by Independent Director Keki Mistry, to review the results and suggest further action.

The matter first came to light in March, when a woman working at TCS’s Nashik BPO unit lodged a complaint alleging that one of her colleagues had had physical relations with her on the promise of marriage.

During the investigation, the police registered eight more FIRs related to mental and sexual harassment that took place between 2022 and 2026, and no action was taken by senior managers. Some complainants also made allegations of attempts to convert religion.
