New Delhi, 25 September (IANS). Good news about new malaria monoclonal antibody! According to a study, its use is safe, there is no side effects and it is also useful for those who have never been malaria before.

The experimental monoclonal antibody published in The Lancet Infections Disease magazine Phase 1 Randamized Controlled Controlled Trial (RCT) (Understand in the general language, scientific studies in which some people are selected), it has been found that three adults were given high stars, and found that any of them were found to be 26 weeks later. Were not

The word “Malaria-Nave” refers to the person who has never been malaria and hence it has not developed immunity against the disease.

“Although new vaccines are available at the University of Maryland at Maryland’s University of Vaccine Development and Global Health Center, Professor Kirsten E. Like, there is nothing clear about their effects. Plasmodium FalciparumSporumSporozoit proteins have the complete capacity to stop it in monoclonal antibodies.”

“The controlled human infection model was used on malaria-nave people. The dose of MAMO1 was tolerable (meaning no discomfort-like symptoms), the safety used to meet the target and contained a clinical (theoretical) proof of providing malaria protection.

According to data from the World Health Organization (WHO), Malaria affected the estimated 263 million people worldwide and caused 597,000 deaths in 2023. Children under the age of five are particularly unsafe, and the biggest proportion of malaria related death is in them.

For the study, the team selected 37 malaria-nave adults between the ages of 18 to 50 (from August 2023 to December 2024) to take a dose of MAMO1 or a placebo.

There was no serious adverse effect on the one or two doses of MAMO 1.

After the infection, 6 out of 6 participants of the control group and 18 out of 22 of the MAMO1 group were found to be malaria parasites in the blood.

But the researchers said, “Parasitemia did not develop in people who were given 40 mg/kg dose intravinus. Pharmacocynetic analysis showed that more than 88 micrograms/ml serum MAMO 1 concentrations can be avoided if malaria can be avoided.”
