New Delhi/Bhopal, March 15 (IANS). Union Communications Minister Jyotiraditya M. Scindia on Sunday said the newly established Integrated Phygital Service Center will help realize Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of providing healthcare, education, agriculture, financial and e-governance services to people living in rural and remote areas.
The Communications Minister inaugurated the Samriddhi Kendra at Umri village in Guna district under the Samriddhi Gram Physical Digital Seva Pilot initiative of the Department of Telecommunications, which is an integrated “physical plus digital” service centre.
Under this initiative, digital infrastructure is being transformed into a platform for providing citizen-centric services in rural India using high-speed broadband connectivity created under BharatNet.
Samriddhi Kendra has been designed as a single-window service center where villagers can avail multiple facilities including healthcare, education, skill development, agricultural support, financial services and e-governance support at one place.
Speaking at the launch event, Scindia said the initiative aims to bring new opportunities directly to villages by linking technology with essential public services.
“Farmers will be able to get real-time information on soil moisture, nutrients and crop health through digital tools, making agriculture smarter and more productive,” he said.
Scindia said, “From certificates to e-banking, all essential government services will now be available at the Samruddha Gram Complex itself. This is truly a program of the future, which ensures that progress reaches every village and every citizen.”
The minister further said that health services will become more accessible, including facilities like on-site diagnostics and tele-consultation with doctors from cities like Delhi and other states.
“Blood test reports will be available in less than 30 minutes,” the Union minister said.
Samridhi Kendra also enables villagers to access essential government services like certificates, digital documents and e-banking facilities locally.
“This initiative represents the next phase of India’s digital transformation, where the focus is shifting from merely providing connectivity to ensuring that it is used to improve the quality of life in rural areas,” Scindia said.
