New Delhi, November 14 (IANS). According to information given by the Ministry of Personnel, Public Grievances and Pensions on Friday, the Digital Life Certificate (DLC) campaign has crossed the record one crore mark in the nationwide DLC campaign 4.0 running from November 1-30. The campaign is being run in 2000 cities and towns covering 2,540 locations across the country.

According to the information given by the ministry, till November 12, more than 35,000 DLC camps have been organized. Apart from this, 75,000 additional camps will be set up by 30 November 2025.

According to the official statement, a total of 1 crore DLCs have been generated so far, of which 58 percent i.e. 59,13,073 are through face authentication and 7 lakh DLCs are for pensioners aged 80 years and above.

It has been said by the Ministry that DLC 4.0 has completed the figure of producing 1 crore DLCs in a very short time as compared to DLC 3.0. This figure is indicative of the rapid adoption of digital technology by pensioners. At the same time, with strong momentum and extensive field mobilization, the department is fast moving towards touching the figure of Rs 2 crore, which will strengthen India’s digitally empowered pension delivery system.

To make this campaign a success, all key stakeholders are working with the government vision for maximum reach. Key stakeholders include Pension Disbursement Banks, Department of Pension & Pensioners’ Welfare, CGDA, Railways, Department of Telecommunications, Department of Posts, IPPB, UIDAI, NIC and Pensioners’ Welfare Association.

The Digital Life Certificate (DLC) Campaign 4.0 was officially launched by Dr. Jitendra Singh, Union Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Science and Technology on November 5. This step is being taken by the Center to make life certification easier for pensioners. On the occasion of the launch of DLC Abhiyaan 4.0, Union Minister Singh also set a great example by creating his own Digital Life Certificate at the National Media Centre.
