New Delhi, June 10 (IANS). Apple Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Tim Cook congratulated Prime Minister Narendra Modi on becoming the longest continuously elected Prime Minister in the history of India.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi also responded to Tim Cook’s wishes. He wrote on ‘X’ that he is very emotional and overwhelmed by the good wishes received from every section of the country in the last few days and today. The Prime Minister said that even though he may not be able to respond to every person personally, every good wish is extremely valuable to him.
Prime Minister Modi said, “It is a privilege for me to get the opportunity to serve India and contribute to the country’s development journey. The people of the country have repeatedly voted in favor of stability, good governance and development. This trust of the people is my biggest strength.”
He said that he will continue to work with greater dedication to fulfill the resolve of a developed India and realize the aspirations of 140 crore Indians.
Meanwhile, Tim Cook had also given a big statement regarding India during Apple’s January-March quarterly results last month. He had said that Apple achieved record revenue in the March quarter and recorded double-digit growth in almost all emerging markets including India.
Tim Cook said that Apple is continuously seeing strong progress in India and recently the company has also opened its sixth store in the country. He said that India is the world’s second largest smartphone market and third largest PC market, but despite this, Apple’s market share is still limited, which shows the huge potential for the future.
Tim Cook described India as a big opportunity for Apple, saying that the middle class in the country is expanding rapidly and the company has great products for both the present and the future. “I am very excited about India,” he said.
