Tehsildar court in Raigarh district of Chhattisgarh has issued notice to 10 people including Lord Shankar and summoned them. Tehsildar has also warned everyone including God in the notice. Failure to attend the hearing can result in a fine of Rs 10,000 and eviction from possession. Bholenath is accused of illegally occupying the land. This is the second case of giving notice to Lord Shankar in Chhattisgarh. Earlier in November-2021, the irrigation department of Janjgir-Champa district had issued a notice to Bholenath asking him to vacate the place.
According to the information, there is a Shiva temple in ward number-25 Kauhkunda of Raigad city. Sudha Rajwade had filed a petition in the Bilaspur High Court, in which 16 people, including the Shiva temple, are accused of encroaching on government land. The matter was heard in the High Court. The court has ordered the state government and the Tehsildar’s office to investigate it. Acting on the order of the court, the Tehsildar’s office has given notice to 10 people. In the notice issued to the occupants, the name of Shiva temple is at number six. The notice has not been addressed to the trustee, manager or priest of the temple, but has been issued directly to the Shiva temple i.e. Lord Shankar.
The matter of fine of 10 thousand rupees in the notice
In the notice sent to Lord Shankar, the Tehsildar Court has issued a warning that this act of yours comes under the category of offense under the section of Chhattisgarh Land Revenue Code. You can be punished with a fine of 10 thousand rupees and can be evicted from the occupied land. In the notice to everyone including Lord Shankar, it has been said that the hearing of this case has been fixed on March 23. No construction of any kind is allowed in the land during this period. Failure to respond will result in eviction and punishment as per rules. Now only time will tell whether Lord Shankar comes in the muscle or not.
Lord Shankar also got 10 days deferment
Naib Tehsildar Vikrant Singh Thakur, who issued the notice, says that this action is being taken after the directions of the High Court. Since the matter is of unlawful possession of government land. In the petition filed in the High Court, 16 people were told to occupy the land, but after checking the site, 10 names have come up. It also has a Shiva temple, built on the occupied land. Ten days’ time has been given to all by issuing notices. After that further action will be taken.
Irrigation department had sent notice in Janjgir
Earlier, a notice has been issued to Lord Shankar by the Irrigation Department of Janjgir-Champa district. Notice was issued to Lord Shiva in November-2021 from Office Sub-Divisional Officer Janjgir-Branch Canal Sub-Division No.-1. The name of any trust or committee was not mentioned in the notice. In the notice issued in the name of Shiv Mandir, the sub-divisional officer wrote to Lord Bholenath that 1988 square feet land of Patwari Halka No. 10 Janjgir branch canal has been encroached upon by you. According to the order of the government, taking possession of government land comes under the category of law crime.
