It is a 155 mm cannon, which can target a very accurate target on the target up to a distance of about 30 kilometers. For the first time Bofors was deployed in Kargil, causing the enemy’s condition to worse.
At that time, the army had deployed 4 regiments of Bofors cannons i.e. 72 cannons, who fired day and night and drove the intruders from the Indian land and made a way for them to leave.
The Bofors cannon was firing for 35 km at 90 degrees and firing three rounds every 12 seconds. A total of 69 thousand 800 rounds of shells were fired from this 155 mm cannon. About 5000 cannon shells, mortar bombs and rockets were fired every day.
