Of the four bodies returned to Israel under the Gaza peace plan, one was not a hostage. According to an Israeli security official, experts from the National Center of Forensic Medicine determined that the remains belonged to a Palestinian man.
The center has identified three other bodies as those of soldiers. Uriel Baruch, Tamir Nimrodi and Ethan Levi. Unlike Monday’s incident, Hamas did not release the names of the dead.
Let us tell you that in February, the body of Shiri Bibas was returned to Israel along with her two children, but forensic investigation revealed that the body was Palestinian.
The terrorists murdered his sons, Ariel and Kfir, with bare hands, then mutilated their bodies to make it look like they had been killed in an airstrike. Hamas released Shiri’s remains the next day.
Under the terms of the ceasefire, Hamas is obliged to return the bodies of all hostages. Currently 23 people are still in Gaza. It is believed that Hamas will hand over more bodies on Wednesday.
The recovery of missing Israeli bodies is being coordinated through intermediaries from Qatar, Türkiye and Egypt. Authorities have warned that it will take time to locate and identify all the remains, as many are believed to be buried in unmarked graves or trapped under collapsed buildings.
Hamas claims it knows the whereabouts of 14 of the 28 hostages killed, but Israeli security officials believe the terrorist group has more information than it has disclosed.
On October 7, 2023, approximately 1,200 people were killed and 252 Israeli and foreign citizens were abducted.
