Abu Dhabi and India together have taken a big step in the world of technology. Under an important agreement signed in New Delhi on 20 February 2026, a huge AI supercomputer with a capacity of 8 exaflop will now be installed in India. This decision was taken during the ‘AI Impact Summit 2026’, which will increase India’s technology strength manifold. In this project, Abu Dhabi company G42 and Indian Government institutions will work together so that a large infrastructure of Artificial Intelligence can be created in the country.

What is the specialty of supercomputer and which companies are involved?
This supercomputer will be one of the fastest computers in the world, with a capacity of 8 exaflops. Many big companies have come together to make it. Abu Dhabi-based technology group G42 will deliver the system and ‘Cerebras Systems’ will be responsible for the hardware.
Capacity: 8 exaflops (extremely high computing speed). Partners: G42, Cerebras, MBZUAI and India’s C-DAC. Technology: It will use Cerebras’ CS-3 system which runs on the world’s fastest AI engine.
What benefit will this give to the common man and the country?
The biggest advantage of this supercomputer is that it will remain completely in India and its data will not go out of the country. This will maintain India’s data sovereignty. This project is an important part of ‘IndiaAI Mission’.
Its use will not be limited only to scientists, but the general public will also benefit from it. This will help in developing new technologies in the fields of health services, farming and education. Also, India’s Startups, small industries and big colleges will be able to use the power of this supercomputer for their research.
New strength in relations between India and UAE
Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi Sheikh Khalid bin Mohammed bin Zayed recently met and described AI as the main basis of relations. This project is proof of the deepening friendship between the two countries. Earlier, this was agreed upon during the talks held in December 2025 and during the visit of UAE President to India in January 2026. Recently G42 and MBZUAI also launched a Hindi-English model named ‘Nanda’, which was another big step in this direction.
