The US State Department said on Saturday it had “credible reports” that Hamas may violate the ceasefire by attacking Palestinian civilians in Gaza.
The statement said that if the attack takes place, it would be a “direct and serious violation” of the agreement signed by US President Donald Trump to end the two-year war between Israel and Hamas.
According to the US State Department, “This planned attack against Palestinian civilians would be a direct violation of the ceasefire. It would also amount to a disregard for mediation efforts.”
America warned Hamas and said that if Hamas carries out this attack, necessary steps will be taken to save the people of Gaza and maintain the ceasefire.
Let us tell you that before this, President Donald Trump had also warned Hamas. While sharing the post on social media platform X, Trump wrote that if Hamas continues killing people in Gaza, it will be against the deal. We will have no other option but to kill them (Hamas).
Let us tell you that on October 7, 2023, Hamas attacked Israel and took many people hostage. The war between the two has been going on for the last 2 years. At the same time, now Hamas has agreed to the 20 point peace proposal and released the Israeli hostages, after which there are speculations about peace in the Middle East.
