Pakistan exposed the claim of US President Donald Trump’s repeated arbitrations over Operation Sindoor. Pakistan Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar said that the US itself had brought a proposal for ceasefire, but India did not agree on it.
Pakistan’s Foreign Minister and Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar revealed about the talk of US Secretary of State Marco Rubio during Operation Sindoor. According to Ishaq Dar, Marco Rubio told him that India would not accept the mediation of a third party for ceasefire as it is a bilateral issue between the two countries.
In an interview to Al Jazeera, Ishaq Dar said that Pakistan took several initiatives to interact with India. Ishaq Dar was asked whether Pakistan is ready for third party participation between the two countries? In response to this question, he said, “We have no objection to the mediation of the third party, but India is clearly saying that this is a bilateral issue. When we asked Marco Rubio in Washington on July 25, we asked Marco Rubio what happened to the talks, he said that India considers it a bilateral issue.”
Pakistan’s Foreign Minister said that Islamabad is ready for bilateral talks, but he will not beg for talks. He said, “If a country wants talks, we will be happy, but we are not begging anything. We are a peace -loving country, we believe that the conversation is the way to move forward. Obviously two people are needed to negotiate. We cannot force India to negotiate.”
Ishaq Dar’s statement confirmed that India had never accepted third party mediation during Operation Sindoor. This also made it clear that the ceasefire decision between India and Pakistan was taken after a conversation between the DGMOs of the two countries.
