New Delhi, March 12 (IANS). Kidney is such an important organ of our body, which keeps doing its work silently. But when any problem starts, the body gradually starts giving different types of signals. If these signs are understood in time, serious illness can be avoided.
Kidneys work to clean the blood in our body. It removes dirt and excess water from the body through urine. When the kidneys do not function properly, many types of problems can start in the body.
An early sign of kidney damage can be frequent urination. Many people think that this is normal, but if the number of urination suddenly increases or you have to get up several times during the night to urinate, then it can be a warning signal from the body. Experts say that sometimes this condition can be a sign of the onset of chronic kidney disease. Therefore, if this is happening for a long time then it should not be taken lightly.
Apart from this, appearing foam in urine or change in the color of urine can also be a sign of kidney problem. Many times, formation of foam in urine means that protein is coming out from the body. Under normal circumstances, the kidneys keep the protein inside the body, but when the kidney filters become weak, the protein starts coming out with urine. In some cases, blood may also be seen in the urine. In such a situation, it is important to immediately consult a doctor.
When kidney capacity decreases, swelling also starts appearing in the body. Swelling, especially around the feet, ankles and eyes, can be a sign that the kidneys are not able to remove excess fluid from the body properly. When this fluid starts accumulating in the body, swelling increases. Many people ignore it considering it to be normal fatigue or the effect of weather, but persistent swelling can be a matter of concern.
Skin related problems can also be seen in kidney disease. When the kidneys are unable to remove waste materials from the body properly, elements like urea start increasing in the blood. It can also affect the skin. Many people start having problems like itching, dryness or burning sensation in the skin.
Furthermore, high blood pressure is also closely linked to the kidneys. If blood pressure is not controlled for a long time, it can damage the kidney filters.
