The fastest increase in the number of Indian citizens has been recorded in the conviction of sexual offenses of foreign nationals in Britain. According to the new analysis of official data, between 2021 and 2024 such cases have increased by 257 percent.
During this period, the number of convicted cases increased from 28 to 100, causing India to become about one-fourth of the total increase alone. Meanwhile, the total conviction cases against foreign nationals increased by 62 percent and the figure rose from 687 to 1,114, while the increase in British citizens was about 39 percent.
Other countries also saw significant growth, including Nigeria (166 percent), Iraq (160 percent), Sudan (117 percent) and Afghanistan (115 percent). The analysis also shows that Indian citizens finished third even in serious crimes, where 588 cases were registered in 2021 from 273 cases to 2024. Overall, this is an 115 percent increase.
According to the report, between 2021 and 2024, about 75,000 convicts of serious crimes were registered by foreign nationals. At the same time, there has been a decrease in the conviction of foreign nationals in cases of violent crimes and fraud. These statistics have been taken from the Police National Computer of the Ministry of Justice of Justice and compiled them by a think tank called Center for Migration Control. Recently, Britain has also included India in the list of countries whose citizens can be sent out of the country as soon as they are convicted in crime, even if their appeal is pending.
