Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps (IRGC) has claimed major attacks on Israeli and American targets. This was the 17th attack on Thursday, March 5, 2026, under ‘Operation True Promise-4’. According to the official report, hypersonic missiles and drones were used in this, which targeted many important strategic areas of Israel. This action has been taken in response to the recent American-Israeli operation.
Which places were targeted?
The IRGC has said in its statement that they have carried out precise attacks on several important places in areas under Israeli control. The Israeli Defense Ministry building and Ben Gurion International Airport were the main targets in this operation. Apart from this, the report also claims that the American radar system based in Qatar and the American warship present in the Indian Ocean were also targeted.
Which weapons were used and what was the effect?
In this attack, Iran used its most modern Fatah and Fatah-2 hypersonic missiles. Along with these missiles, many ballistic missiles and drones were also fired. Alarm sirens continued to sound in central Israel and Jerusalem and citizens were advised to stay in safe places. Due to this tension, a huge rise in the prices of crude oil has also been seen in the global market, which may impact the prices of petrol and diesel across the world.
