Iran’s attack on UAE failed, 16 missiles and 42 drones destroyed in the air, many expatriates including Indians died

The Defense Ministry of the United Arab Emirates has informed that on March 29, 2026, the country’s air defense systems have successfully intercepted 16 ballistic missiles and 42 drones fired from Iran. The security preparations have been confirmed in an official statement amid different reports circulating on social media. In the industrial sector, Emirates Global Aluminum (EGA) and Bahrain’s Alba Aluminum plant have been damaged by missiles. Expatriates traveling to and from the UAE from India and other countries have been advised to follow local safety rules.
