Saudi-US Talks: Important talks between Saudi Arabia and America, major decision taken on Iran attacks

An important phone call took place on Wednesday between Saudi Arabia’s Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan and US Secretary of State Marco Rubio. In this discussion, the main focus was on the continuous attacks being carried out by Iran in Saudi Arabia and the region. The two leaders discussed how to bring this situation under control so that the security of Saudi Arabia remains strong and the safety of the citizens living there as well as the expatriates can be ensured. Apart from this, Saudi Arabia has welcomed the US decision to declare Sudan’s Muslim Brotherhood as a terrorist organization.

What was discussed about Iran’s attacks?

Recently, Iran has carried out attacks with drones and ballistic missiles in Saudi Arabia and surrounding areas. The Saudi Defense Ministry has confirmed that its air defense system has destroyed several missiles coming from Iran. Marco Rubio condemned Iran’s unprovoked attacks on civilians.

Prince Faisal and Rubio acknowledged that such attacks are disturbing the peace of the region. In response to this, Saudi Arabia is working on further strengthening its security system. This also has a direct impact on the safety of Indians and other expatriates working there, hence both the countries have given priority to the safety of common citizens. According to the Pentagon, 140 American soldiers have also been injured in this conflict so far.

What restrictions are imposed on Sudan’s Muslim Brotherhood?

America has declared Sudan’s Muslim Brotherhood as a global terrorist organization on March 9, 2026 and from March 16, it will be completely included in the list of foreign terrorist organization. America says that this organization is committing violence on civilians in collaboration with Iran.

All the assets of this organization in America have been frozen. American citizens or companies have been barred from doing any kind of business with this organization. Any outside person or company working with this organization will also be banned. Earlier in January, branches of this organization were also banned in Egypt, Jordan and Lebanon.

Saudi Arabia has fully supported this step of America and has said that this decision will prove helpful in bringing peace and progress in the region.
