Four workers were killed and six others injured after a lift at a power plant in Chhattisgarh’s Sakti district collapsed from a high height. Officials gave this information on Wednesday.
District Superintendent of Police Ankita Sharma told PTI that the incident took place on Tuesday night at the RKM Powergen Private Limited power plant in Dabhra area of the district.
The injured have been brought to Fortis Jindal Hospital in Raigarh for treatment where they are undergoing treatment. It is being told that work was going on in the plant as usual. During this time, 10 workers were going to the fifth floor in the lift installed in the plant. The lift was supposed to reach a height of 75 meters but as soon as it reached a height of 40 meters, suddenly the lift broke and the lift fell from the height to the ground.
