Dr. Dinesh Sharma: In Shri Parshuram Gyanpeeth, built under the aegis of Vipra Foundation, Dr. Dinesh Sharma (former Deputy Chief Minister, Uttar Pradesh and Rajya Sabha MP) addressed the students in a special session under the free training being given to the students of competitive exams.
Addressing the students he said –
“The first school of inculcation is the family. The education, discipline and values we learn while living in the family become the foundation of our personality throughout our life. If the family is strong, the nation automatically becomes strong.”
Considerations on Education Abroad (Special):
Dr. Sharma said that today the direction of education in foreign countries has become business and profit oriented, the objective there is “employment”, whereas the basic objective of education in India has been “character and values building”. He clearly said that “Foreign education system weakens our self-realization and Indian value system, hence we should return to indigenous education.”
Nation building through indigenous consciousness:
While motivating the students he said that –
“Swadeshi is not limited to just clothes or things, it is a matter of thinking. When we believe in our soil, language, culture and resources, then the nation is built in the true sense. Swadeshi consciousness is the soul of self-reliant India.”
Emphasis on Goal Based Learning (Special):
Dr. Sharma said that education should not just be a means of passing examinations but should be a medium of purposeful guidance in life.
“Education is only meaningful which makes a person useful for the nation, responsible for the society and an ideal for himself.”
He called upon the students to play an active role in building a developed India through values, indigenous consciousness and goal based education.
Dr. Dinesh Sharma (former Deputy Chief Minister, Uttar Pradesh and Rajya Sabha MP) inspected Shri Parshuram Gyanpeeth today and expressed his views on this occasion and said-
