Ujjain. There was a steady flow of devotees at the Mahakaleshwar temple on Thursday morning on the Pratipada date of Krishna Paksha of Margashirsha month. Devotees stood in queues throughout the night to witness the Bhasma Aarti. At exactly 4 in the morning Baba Mahakal woke up and showed his divine form to the devotees. This time during Bhasma Aarti, the makeup of Baba Mahakal was very unique and divine. The devotees got the darshan of his two charming forms together, due to which the temple complex became filled with devotion. First of all, a moon shape made of sandalwood was decorated on the forehead of Baba Mahakal, which made his three-eyed form even more attractive.
The most special attraction of the Aarti was the appearance of Baba Mahakal in the form of Shri Ganesh. He was made to have a head like an elephant, big eyes and ears like Gajendra. Seeing this wonderful and rare scene, the devotees became emotional.
The devotees who witnessed this supernatural adornment made the entire temple complex echo with echoes of cheers. Chants of ‘Jai Shri Mahakal’ and ‘Jai Shri Ganesh’ were heard everywhere, which shows deep faith in the united form of Shiva and Shaktiputra Ganesha.
Let us tell you that Bhasma Aarti of Baba Mahakal takes place at 4 in the morning and it is offered to Baba on behalf of Mahanirvani Akhara and after Bhasma Aarti, Baba is adorned, after which devotees come one by one for darshan.
