Uttarakhand Silver Jubilee: On the occasion of the silver jubilee celebrations of the establishment of Uttarakhand state, Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi today gave a new identity to the religious, cultural and natural heritage of Devbhoomi on the national stage in Dehradun.
Special postage stamps on pilgrimage sites
On this occasion, the Prime Minister released a special postage stamp series based on major pilgrimage sites and cultural symbols of the state by Uttarakhand Postal Circle. Through this series, the way has been paved to promote the rich heritage of Uttarakhand across the country.
Gift of ₹62 crore to 28,000 farmers
During the programme, Prime Minister Shri Modi provided a major relief to the farmers of the state. He released an amount of over ₹62 crore through Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) into the bank accounts of over 28,000 farmers in the state under the Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana. With this financial assistance, farmers will get the benefit of protection from natural disasters and crop damage.
Chief Minister presented the logo of Omkareshwar Temple
On this important occasion, Chief Minister Shri Pushkar Singh Dhami felicitated Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi by presenting him a special logo based on Omkareshwar Temple, Ukhimath.
The event marked the celebration of 25 years of Uttarakhand’s development and its cultural richness, where the Prime Minister paid tribute to the development projects as well as the heritage of the state.
