New Delhi, November 14 (IANS). Diabetes is such a physical problem in which patients have to take many precautions. Be it food or breakfast, a diet chart has to be prepared very thoughtfully. In such a situation, the best breakfast for diabetic patients is sprouted gram, which is not only a treasure of taste but also of health.
The Ministry of AYUSH, Government of India recommends a natural and nutritious diet. The ministry describes sprouted gram as a natural source of energy, which is not only beneficial for normal people, but is also considered the best breakfast for diabetic patients. It is cheap, easily available and a treasure of health.
Sprouted gram gives energy to the body and helps in controlling blood sugar. In the process of germination, the nutrients in gram increase manifold. It is rich in proteins, fiber, vitamins, minerals and antioxidants. This breakfast is special for diabetic patients because it gets digested slowly and does not allow the sugar level to increase suddenly.
Diabetic patients get many benefits from sprouted gram, sprouted gram is rich in fiber, which slows down the absorption of glucose. Due to this, the sugar level does not increase rapidly after eating food. Carbohydrates break down slowly, which helps in maintaining energy throughout the day. Having fewer calories and more fiber reduces hunger, which helps in reducing obesity and managing diabetes. Along with this, digestion related problems also go away. The method of making sprouted gram is also easy. Soak black gram in water overnight. In the morning, drain the water, tie it in a wet cloth and keep it for 8-10 hours, sprouts will emerge. After this add rock salt, grated fresh ginger, lemon juice and some black pepper.
