The Enforcement Directorate (ED) has arrested real estate businessman Amit Katyal, considered close to Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) chief Lalu Prasad’s family, in a money laundering case related to alleged fraud with home buyers in Gurugram. Official sources gave this information.

ED has arrested him in an alleged fraud and money laundering case of more than Rs 300 crore. Investigating agencies say that he was not only a businessman but also worked as a ‘financial manager’ for the Lalu family.

Amit Katyal is a real estate businessman from Delhi. His name has been associated with many companies, including Angle Infrastructure Pvt. Ltd. And AK Infosystem Pvt. Ltd. Are included. ED alleges that these companies were used to buy land and launder money.

According to ED, Amit Katyal has been close to Lalu Yadav family for a long time. Earlier he owned a company named AK Infosystem, but later it was transferred to people associated with the Lalu family. This company later became the owner of the lands which were related to the land-for-jobs case. Amit Katyal is also a co-accused in this case along with Lalu Prasad, Rabri Devi and her daughters. ED has already filed a charge sheet in this case.
