Sriganganagar. The railway project connecting the northeastern state of Mizoram with progress will be dedicated to the country tomorrow. Former ZRUCC member Bhim Sharma, who returned after visiting the recently prepared Birbi-Sirang rail project, said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate this important project on Saturday 13 September. According to Bhim Sharma, this project will give direct rail connectivity to Mizoram to the country, while Mizoram will open the doors of progress. He informed that Sriganganagar-Sirang train has been demanded from Sriganganagar to the major cities of Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Assam.
According to Kapinjal Kishore Sharma, Chief Public Relations Officer of North Frontier Railway, the total length of the Birbi-Syrorang railway project is 51.38 km. It starts from Birbi and goes to the Sireng near Aizawl. The project is divided into four major sections. The estimated cost of the entire project is more than Rs 8071 crore. Four new stations-Haratki, Kavanpui, Mulkhang and Sireng have been constructed under this project.
According to Sharma, the most notable engineering miracle of this project is Pier P-4 of Bridge No. 196, which is 114 meters height. It is also 42 meters high than Qutub Minar. Apart from this, 5 road overbridges and 6 road underbridges have also been constructed to ease passengers and freight transportation.
