New Delhi. Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday addressed the International Conference on Gyan Bharatam. He said that we are going to digitize them through thousands of generations, thinking and research of the great masters and scholars of India, our knowledge traditions, our scientific heritage, Gyan Bharatam Mission. I congratulate all the countrymen for this mission.
PM Modi said that today Vigyan Bhawan is witnessing the Renaissance of the golden past of India. A few days ago I announced the Gyan Bharatam Mission, and in such a short time today we are organizing Gyan Bharatam International Conference. The portal associated with this has also been launched. This is not a government or academic event. Gyan Bharatam Mission, India’s culture, literature and consciousness is going to be the announcement.
He said that the knowledge tradition of India is very rich, because its foundation rests on four major column protection, innovation, promotion and adaptation. Today India has the world’s largest manuscript collection. We have about 1 crore manuscripts. Millions of manuscripts were burnt in the cruel slap of history, but those who survived are witness to how deep and wide the loyalty of our ancestors for knowledge and science reading.
Prime Minister Modi further said that India is a vibrant flow in itself, which is formed by its thoughts, ideals and values. In the ancient manuscripts of India, we get to see the lines of continuous flow of India. These manuscripts are also a manifesto of unity in our diversity.
He said that these manuscripts derived from India are a symbol of the collective development journey of humanity. These include philosophy and science, medical and metamorphosis, art and astronomy including knowledge of various fields. From mathematics to binary-based computer science, the basic basis of modern scientific progress lies in the concept of zero.
